Travel Information


Note that the conference takes place at the campus Stadtmitte (downtown, Keplerstrasse 17).
There is also a metro station called "Univiersität". This is not the right campus!
The closest metro station to the conference is called "Keplerstrasse" (U-Bahn) or "Hauptbahnhof" (S-Bahn).

By train or public transportation

All regional and long-distance trains arrive at Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (HBF-Central Main Station). 
It is a 5-10 minute walk from the station to the University (see this map). 

By plane

You can either take a flight to Frankfurt airport (FRA) or to Stuttgart airport (STR)

If you arrive at Frankfurt, you can take a train directly from the airport to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (main station) and follow the directions above. The train takes about 75-100 minutes.

If you arrive at Stuttgart Airport, you can take the local train called the S-Bahn (sign-posted with a big green and white "S"). Take either the S2 towards SCHORNDORF or S3 towards BACKNANG. 

If you're coming directly to the conference location, get off at the central train station (Hauptbahnhof). 

If you are going to the 'Hotel am Feuersee', get off at the station FEUERSEE. 

If you are going to the 'Hotel Sautter', you can either get out at the station FEUERSEE and walk down the Johannesstrasse, or you can get out at the central station (HAUPTBAHNHOF), change into the U9 (towards VOGELSANG / BOTNANG) and get out at station SCHLOSS-/JOHANNESSTRASSE.

The S-Bahn from the airport takes about 20-25 minute and costs €3 one-way. You can also take a taxi from the airport (about €25).


By car

If you're coming by car you should follow the signs for 'S-Zentrum'.
